What Glen Ellyn Homes Need from an HVAC System
About one in six Glen Ellyn homes was built before 1940, many of them Victorians, Prairie-style homes and early Colonials near downtown and Lake Ellyn. Those homes often heat with boilers and radiators, or with furnaces that replaced them, and central air was added later through tight chases, attics or ductless systems. Another large share of homes was built from the 1960s through the 1980s, with two-story Colonials and split-levels on their second or third system.
In older homes, we pay close attention to chimney venting, boiler controls and where new ductwork can go without disturbing original plaster and trim. In the mid-century and newer homes, upstairs comfort, return air and aging high-efficiency furnaces are the most common concerns.

Furnace and Heating Repair in Glen Ellyn
A furnace or boiler should heat the home safely and consistently without leaving you guessing about the next breakdown. Pure Comfort repairs and maintains heating systems from all major makes and models.
When replacement makes more sense, we consider the home’s load, duct capacity, return air, filtration and venting. That planning helps the new system operate as intended instead of repeating problems built into the old setup.

AC Repair and Cooling Services in Glen Ellyn
If your air conditioner runs constantly, struggles with humidity or leaves certain rooms warmer than others, the cause may extend beyond the outdoor unit. We check cooling performance, refrigerant operation, drainage, electrical components and airflow before discussing solutions.
For AC replacement, proper sizing and installation details matter. Pure Comfort matches the equipment to the home, verifies supporting conditions and tests operation before the job is complete.
