What Does Regular Furnace Maintenance Protect?
Regular furnace maintenance protects efficiency, safety and the life of the equipment, and catches small problems before they turn into no-heat calls. These are the things it is genuinely there to catch.

A tune-up is preventive care for equipment that is operating. If a component has already failed, the furnace needs a repair visit rather than maintenance. We will tell you which one applies.
What Does a Furnace Tune-Up Include?
A Pure Comfort furnace tune-up is a 30-plus point inspection of safety, combustion, airflow, electrical parts and indoor air quality. Each item is marked pass, flag or fail on a written report, and we review the results with you before we leave.
- Safety checks. We test for carbon monoxide, check the gas lines at the furnace and water heater for leaks, inspect the heat exchanger for cracks, holes and rust, check the flue pipe and its joints, and confirm your CO detectors are less than 5 years old.
- Ignition and burners. We measure the igniter’s resistance, clean the flame sensor and recondition the flame circuit, clear the pressure switch tubing and port, and inspect and clean the burners when they are accessible.
- Motors and electrical. We record the inducer and blower motor amp draw against their maximum ratings, test the blower motor capacitor against its rating, and check the motor for oil leaks and worn bearings.
- Airflow and temperature rise. We check the air filter, blower wheel and ductwork, then record the supply and return temperatures to confirm the temperature rise is within the manufacturer’s specs.
- Thermostat and indoor air. We test the thermostat and batteries, check indoor humidity, service the humidifier and set it for winter, and check any UV light or air cleaner.
- Records and report. We photograph the equipment data tag and any problems, place service stickers on the furnace, return and water heater, and reset your thermostat to your preference.

What Do Maintenance Plans Cover?
Both Comfort Club plans include an annual furnace tune-up and an annual AC tune-up: Basic is $15 a month and Standard is $20 a month. Maintenance can be booked as a single visit or as part of a plan covering seasonal heating and cooling service. Plan benefits and pricing are confirmed at enrolment.
If the visit uncovers work that needs doing, you get the price before anything starts. Replacement estimates remain free and separate from the maintenance visit.
