Financing Questions We Get Asked
Does applying affect my credit?
That depends on the lender and the type of check they run. Some pre-qualification steps use a soft inquiry; a full application generally involves a hard inquiry. The lender discloses which applies before you submit, so read that screen before confirming.
How long does approval take?
Most homeowners get a decision quickly, often within minutes of submitting online. Some applications need additional review or documentation, which takes longer. We will not order equipment until the financing is settled.
Can I pay the balance off early?
Prepayment terms are set by the lender. Many HVAC plans allow early payoff without a penalty, and promotional plans often depend on paying the balance inside the promotional window. Confirm the specific terms on your agreement.
Do I have to finance the whole project?
No. You can put part of the project on a payment plan and pay the rest by another method. We will lay out the numbers both ways during the estimate.
Is financing available for repairs?
Financing is generally intended for replacement and installation projects. Repairs are usually handled at the time of service. If a repair leads to a replacement discussion, financing can be applied to the new system.
Do you charge for the estimate?
Replacement estimates are free. For a repair, we diagnose the system first and give you the price for the work before we start it.
Which lender do you use?
Our primary lender is Service Finance, which runs Lennox 0% promotional financing on approved credit. During Lennox promotions, select systems qualify for 0% APR for 18, 25 or up to 60 months, depending on the system. Longer terms with interest are available on any project over $2,000, including indoor air quality equipment and water heaters, for a lower monthly payment. A down payment usually isn’t required, depending on credit, and there are no prepayment penalties.
