Choosing a New Furnace for a Huntley Home
Close to two-thirds of Huntley homes were built from 2000 to 2009, so many original furnaces are now 15 to 25 years old and reaching replacement age in the same few years. In single-story Sun City homes, one furnace heats the whole house, so a quiet, properly sized unit and an easy thermostat matter most. Two-story homes in the family subdivisions often have one furnace for both floors, and that is where a variable-speed blower or zoning pays off. We also check the condition of the coil and line set so the furnace and air conditioner stay matched.
Furnace Installation in Huntley: How It Works
It starts with a free visit to your Huntley home. We measure the house and ductwork, check the venting and gas supply and run a load calculation, then give you written Good, Better and Best Lennox options with rebates and financing laid out. On install day, our own crew removes the old furnace, sets the new one, connects venting, gas, condensate and controls, and tests combustion, temperature rise and airflow before we leave. We register the warranty and walk you through the new thermostat settings.
Repair or Replace Your Huntley Furnace?
A gas furnace usually lasts 15 to 20 years in the Chicago area. A quick check is the $5,000 rule: multiply the furnace’s age by the repair price. If the result is over $5,000, replacement usually makes more sense. If your Huntley furnace is younger or the repair is small, a repair may be the better value, and our furnace repair team can diagnose it for $75.

How much does a new furnace cost in Huntley?
As of October 2026, a new furnace from Pure Comfort costs $3,000 to $9,500 installed in Huntley. Matching the furnace to the existing AC coil and line set, and whether zoning is worth adding in two-story homes, drive most of the price in Huntley. How do I get a free furnace estimate or quote in Huntley?
Call (708) 515-4822 or book online. We visit your Huntley home, measure the house and ductwork, run a load calculation and give you written Good, Better and Best options with rebates and financing. The estimate is free, and there is no pressure to decide on the spot.
Do I need a permit to replace a furnace in Huntley?
Permit needs for a furnace replacement in Huntley depend on the equipment and project scope. Where a permit is required, we confirm the Village of Huntley’s current requirements and pull the permit, or help you file it in towns where the homeowner applies, then schedule any required inspection.
Should I choose an 80% or a high-efficiency 96% furnace in Huntley?
Nearly every Huntley home was built with PVC venting, so a 96% to 97% furnace is the usual choice and swaps in without venting changes. The decision is usually between single-stage, two-stage and variable-speed models, and we price each so you can compare.
How long does a furnace replacement take?
Most furnace replacements in Huntley take one day. Jobs that add return air, new venting or zoning can take a second day. If you are without heat, tell us when you call so we can schedule the install as soon as the equipment is available.
Is there a furnace replacement company near me in Huntley?
Yes. Pure Comfort is based in Streamwood, about 28 minutes from Huntley, and installs furnaces across 60142. We are a Lennox Premier Dealer with NATE-certified technicians, and our own crews do every install.
Is it worth replacing a 20- or 30-year-old furnace?
Usually, yes. Most furnaces last about 15 to 20 years in Chicago-area winters. A 20- to 30-year-old furnace is often far less efficient than a new high-efficiency model, parts get harder to find, and heat exchanger problems become more likely. If yours is safe and the repair is small, fixing it can still make sense. In Huntley, we check the furnace and give you both prices so you can decide.
