The Batavia Depot Museum is a beautiful relic of a time gone by. The building was built in 1854 in Greek Revival style as a railroad depot for the Chicago and Aurora Branch Railroad. It later became the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. In 1973, it moved to 155 Houston Street.
Today, the museum is open to the public. Visitors can take a guided tour or view exhibits on their own. Some of the permanent and special exhibitions feature a wealth of historical information and cultural artifacts.
